New version 4.0.1
Old version 4.0
Release Notes Bug fixes and performance improvements. The app may now be used as a MIDI sound module for use with CoreMIDI-enabled MIDI file player apps or controlled from an external MIDI keyboard using a hardware MIDI interface. When used via MIDI, the app responds to MIDI note-on (with velocity), note-off, and volume change messages on the selected MIDI channel. Select the MIDI channel on the controls page. The treble bridge volume and panning is used for all MIDI sounds and will respond to MIDI volume messages. Fixed a rare issue that may have caused the sound to stop when used as MIDI sound module in the background. Volume sliders now show a full range from 0 to 100%

New version 2.0
Old version 1.9.1
Release Notes Sound quality improvements and bug fixes. Simplified reverb control. Now just pick your reverb style and level. MIDI improvements and new features: Implemented a better polyphonic to monophonic conversion algorithm based on most recent played notes. This makes the app work much better with keyboards and MIDI file players. Thank you Jesse Chappell (ThumbJam developer) for the suggestion. MIDI Chanter control for the Fagerström Uilleann Technopipes and other MIDI chanters and keyboard controllers: Connect your MIDI chanter first to your iPhone using a hardware MIDI interface, then launch Tin Whistle MIDI range is chromatic over the complete two-octave range of the instrument. Use the "Channel" control to set your controller's output MIDI channel. Use the "Use Lowest Note Setting" switch setting to enable / disable the bottom note offset for use with MIDI keyboards and chanters. When OFF, (best for use with MIDI keyboards) uses the following notes as the lowest note based on the selected key of the whistle: High-D: 74 High-C: 72 Bb: 70 G: 67 F: 65 Low-D: 62 When ON, set the lowest MIDI note (default is for the Fagerström Uilleann Technopipes 69 - A3) to match your MIDI chanter. Range is from MIDI note 55 to 79. Pitch bend response is based on the setting of the "MIDI Pitchbend Semitones" slider. Range is from 0 to 12 semitones. Default is 2 semitones. Also works as a sound module for MIDI file player apps.

It determines, how GR-16's knobs will react on incoming midi controller changes. - midi learn feature added. To enter it, quickly tap any desired parameter knob 3 times. This can significantly simplify the process of creating pattern chains. - new animation added on the default screen: "Channels", which show all 16 parts current sound peak volumes and their RMS. You can change this animation to Oscillogram, or switch it off from the Settings menu -> "Animation" setting. - you now have an option for all level meters to show the sound volume as Peak (default), and RMS / RMS+Peak (new), adjustable from Settings menu -> "Level meters" setting. - bug fixed: when "Poly" setting was set to Off for the Part, the Part could still produce polyphonic sounds in some cases; - bug fixed: now, if you load a user sample onto a Part, it remembers the sample's folder where it was loaded from; - improved: sudden sound artifacts (clicks/pops) have been reduced when switching between patterns in non-playback mode; - 4 new skin schemes added; also, the very first "Default" skin has been changed; - final factory preset track called "Melbourne Shuffle" added to Bank A, consisting of 6 patterns with examples of using trigger conditions and note sample reverse. These are the last patterns to be added in Bank A.

New version 4.0.2

Release Notes New features: MIDI Control: The Treble sounds may be played via MIDI from a MIDI keyboard or other MIDI player or controller apps. Set the MIDI channel for the treble side using the "MIDI Channel" slider on the settings page. Lowest note is G3 (MIDI Note 55) Range is G3 through E6. Bass/Chord Shift: You can now transpose the bass and chords up or down by either zero or two semitones, effectively shifting the bass side up or down by two rows. This allows you to play songs that use chords not available in the basic layout, for example Em tunes that require Bm and F#m. For example, a shift of +2 means that the E bass and chord buttons now play F#, the A is a B, and D is an E. Note: When the bass side sound is transposed, the labels on the buttons do not change. This may be addressed in a future update. I added this feature after wanting to be able to play "Indifference" on the app, which required F#m. :-)
