Holon is an auditive mixed reality app that generates functional music from your body movements and the world around you - your behaviour. Use it for active commuting - or almost any sport you can think of - Holon adapts seamlessly to your activity and context.

Holon creates a synthesized musical accompaniment from your activities and location data, based on places, contexts and environmental factors in your surroundings. Holon uses spatial computing and real-time synthesis to transform everyday experiences into opportunities for introspection and social connection.
At Holonic, we think the Internet of Everything should be Musical. With Holon, music is created as a result of your behaviour and activities in the environment. Holon is a passive, Zero-UI app for functional and ubiquitous music, which means no screen interaction is required. Instead, the physical world becomes a musical interface.
• Holon lets you perform music by moving spatially between different locations. The type of place changes the sound (LULC feature)
• Headphones are needed for auditory feedback (action-perception coupling) to work properly
• Use AirPods Pro/Max (optional) as head tracking controllers for even further musical embodiment. Set them to transparency mode for improved situational awareness and natural acoustic blending
• Holon is made for outdoor use, GPS and mobile data - amount of data is low - are required to access data from your location, such as street furniture, local businesses and infrastructure nodes (POI feature)
• For optimal auditory-motor coactivation, keep your phone in a pocket when walking

Please note: Auditory Augmented Reality is a CPU and power intensive task. Ensure you have a full battery and keep the phone cool and well ventilated. Turn Holon off when not in use (swipe away the app or press the button with the Holon logo)
